Two trees representing mankind from the beginning
- Abel and
Cain - Two groups one taking leaves from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the other leaves from the tree of life.
- Two gospels 1. one of grace and not keeping the commandments in full or disbelief in the power of God to overcome. 2. The other group choosing to take leaves from the tree of life. Jesus said Be ye therefore perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect. How? You must be born again? What does that mean? Washed clean by the words and atmosphere of those things which are Holy and pure. ‘Drink this blood and eat this flesh’- immerse yourself in Christ. Because of the high standard set in character building many could not hear the words of Christ and stopped following because they said this is a hard saying who can take it. Perfection of character, the mind of Christ is the standard we are to reach toward. Not only do all the commandments have to be kept they have to be kept in the same Spirit and mind as Christ. The answer to these imperfect human failing is you must be born again. Grace is not along about unmerited favour with forgiveness but as we cooperate with God being empowered by a power outside of ourselves to d o the impossible.
English
The English language is the universal language it is today just as Greek once was because of the Bible placed in the common tongue. The develop of English was through the Bible and its reformers at the cost of their own lives.
Protestantism is described in the Bible thus:
Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Protestantism is made up of many churches but which one follows the Jesus words found here:
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to Him. Judus saith him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:21-23
Two churches

but the Bible describes it thus: Revelation 12:6 And the woman (a symbol for the church) fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore day
Revelation 22: 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that the
y may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
The wilderness people during the dark ages were there because of the organised persecution of the Roman church and because the organised persecuting church did not keep the commandments of God.
Things we need to know, may know but tend to neglect
Overcoming an old habit is the difference between guilt and perfecting yourself in Christ. Holiness is required if we are to see God in person.
A woman might be free from the physical problems that afflict others but what of the tongue, and concepts of self and criticism of others. Our self concept and critical thoughts of others is a decision that might affect our sense of reality and also our salvation.
Look away from poor self-image, praise and thank God for your self and others, and keep His commandments, including the 4th commandment and claim the promise in John 14:21-23. This is my favorite verse because we want to know how God will manifest Himself to us.
As Israel crossed the Jordan they had to step forward in faith in order for God to work. We have a real work to exercise the mind that can be harder than any physical work. We must cooperate in mind by turning to Christ and by soaking our thoughts in the thoughts of God. Not sometime all the time. Of what are our thoughts and feeling and energy directed to? This tell us where the heart is.
There is no natural born Christian & to have the mind of Christ
one must be soaked in the medium of Christ- His word, His programs, follow His ways not the TV and music and words of the world.
Exercise the power of the will to cooperate with God and deny self.
Habits take time to change because of the desire of the heart, never the less press towards the high calling no matter how many times you may fail. Again ask God to make the task much easier, for His Spirit is the inspiration and power to overcome. Make prayer friends for where 2 or 3 are gathered together there He is amongst you.
Ask for forgiveness and know how to forgive not just in word but action. Be a person of the word, both His and your own word to others and God.
As your faith and the desire of the heart so shall it be done unto you even to an instant in time.
Die to self daily and rise in the morning with a new life in mind.
Remember what Paul ta
ught in Romans 2:13 For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Physical well being is a key to spiritual well being as it is through the senses and self gratification that Satan gains entrance.
Most are teaching falsehoods and therefore the churches are weak with nothing for a person to base their faith on. If engineers were as dishonestly irrational in their views of building, we wouldn’t have civilization today,
“It is by learning the habits of Christ, His meekness, His lowliness, that self becomes transformed–by taking Christ’s yoke upon you and then submitting to learn. There is no one who has not much to learn. All must come under training by Jesus Christ. When they fall upon Christ, their own hereditary and cultivated traits of character are taken away as hindrances to their being partakers of the divine nature.”
