The Paris climate agreement in 2015 by the United Nations follows Pope Francis encyclical 2015 in which he states the Sabbath is Key to Climate Crisis.
“On Sunday, our participation in the Eucharist has special importance. Sunday, like the Jewish Sabbath, is meant to be a day which heals our relationships with God, with ourselves, with others and with the world. Sunday is the day of the Resurrection, the “first day” of the new creation, whose first fruits are the Lord’s risen humanity, the pledge of the final transfiguration of all created reality. It also proclaims “man’s eternal rest in God”.”
The 4th Commandment as part of the 10 commandments is the only part of the Bible written by God himself underlining its importance for these are the keys to eternal life yet people ignore them. This is why Jesus says ‘many are called but few are chosen.’
The sabbath that God has specified says this
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
It is the only commandment of the ten, with such detail and in which God tells us to remember and is at opposites to the work and authority of the church of Rome. Notice it is the day God made Holy for it celebrations man’s creation and being made in God’s image and after creation the fellowship that was to be between God and man. The prophecies and the Bible all speak specifically of the number 7 and Jesus as the perfect representative of man kept the seventh day sabbath as a memorial of His work.
Yet this means little to Rome who says “The theories of evolution and the Big Bang are real and God is not “a magician with a magic wand”, Pope Francis has declared.
