The fountain is the words of God that make clean and transforming not modifying the nature

The Gospel tell us how human nature is changed into God’s image and a false gospel is a very subtle modification of the old nature only. A false gospel looks at the peripheries of the man Jesus, the true explores the depth of obtaining that mind and having the same power from on high- the baptism of the Holy Spirit and sanctifies or makes clean, body, mind and Spirit. “The subjects of the Sabbath, the nature of man, and the testimony of Jesus are the great and important truths to be understood; these will prove as an anchor to hold God’s people in these perilous times.”
Many people do not understand the nature of their own being. They possess both good and evil attributes and pride themselves on exercising what is good. Nicodemus was like this and was shaken by Christ’s words that he who was a teacher in Israel yet was in need of something more than he already possessed. “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus knew that Christ here referred to water baptism and the renewing of the heart by the Spirit of God. 
Sin is a virus and the computer and the amount of viruses and deceptions that are constantly generated to attack others, reflect the nature of man and how a virus is past from mind to mind. Once it infects the mind the whole body will become diseased. As a person turns from childhood and innocent joy to carrying the baggage of guilt and shame, the virus having infected His soul, now he or she is resentful and blaming of others and is used by Satan to infect another soul. This is demonstrated in scripture where God looks for Adam and Eve, finds them and Adam blames God and the woman Eve his wife and Eve blames the snake, so it is that all carry blame and society encourages a lack of responsibility but to fix the problem blaming parents, that which someone did to you and carrying that load has to be dealt with. The disease of the body starts in the mind and before we can receive a new body, the free gift of life, our minds must first be made whole and we must be made clean and as little children again. Not one thread of doubt shall be left in the judgement of men that would allow a mind with sin to enter God’s kingdom again, therefore the judgment of men is presided over by angels and God before the resurrection, in the very last period of earth’s history in which we live and it is based on an opportunity to receive a full revelation of Jesus and His character as outlined in the commandments- and to make use of that knowledge in practice.
The mind is be restored to the point that one is not struggling to keep the law as found in Romans 7 but with charity, Christ lived a life of charity and Paul said Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and [of] a good conscience, and [of] faith unfeigned: Timothy 1:5 and again And though I have [the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2
Do you faith and be come weary in your charity to others, I do, let us then renew our strength in Him so that ‘whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.’ Romans 14:8
For those who are familiar this is from the 1901 General Conference pointing out reasons why the work has not gone ahead with power and the necessity to go ahead to the work, relying not on the sanction of men but of God as is every members duty.
To be saved we must have changed natures, the mind must be restored. In the life of Ted Bundy is seen the extremes of where a fallen nature can lead and the overwhelming feelings and compulsion from within until the insatiable lust is satisfied for a time.
