This is the most important point to learn about living a life with God and without which a person shall not be saved.
God will be revealed by the testimony of the lives of His people against which there is no argument
Understand His Commandments, communication in private with God & fidelity in the world, in the daily tests and trials of life – loyalty, peace and kindness in adversity
Matt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
Going past our thoughts and feelings we do all that God has impressed us to do, acting in accordance with the principals of His word
The Will of God must steer us through our own thoughts and feelings
The opportunity comes again and again in life’s trials
“There are very many who claim to serve God, but who have no experimental knowledge of Him. Their desire to do His will is based upon their own inclination, not upon the deep conviction of the Holy Spirit.”
Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14:30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.
14:31 And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.
Joshua 3:13 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, [that] the waters of Jordan shall be cut off [from] the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap.
The experimental knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ whom He has sent, transforms man into the image of God.
In the crisis there are no short cuts, and again and again the crisis will come to test our hearts. Humility and trial before the blessing.
James 2:14 What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be [ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [doth it] profit?
2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Step forward with principals and commandments of God’s word and the thoughts & feeling that make up the character in time will follow. Our thoughts and feelings often deny us of an abundant life in Christ.
Moving on and letting go of learned and cultivated attitudes that kill out the precious fruits of love and defile the soul.
“A new commandment I give unto you,” Christ said, “That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” John 13:34. My brother and sister if you open your heart to suspicion and evil surmising, though your experience has been you have been wronged, the Holy Spirit cannot abide with you. Who can know the life and trials’ of another and if placed in the same position many of us would not endure the trial of him whom we so readily criticise.
Titus 3:2 Speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, [but] gentle, showing all meekness unto all men.
3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.
Repentance- a true sorrow for sin is given of God. Do not let another take away the victory you may have in Christ by their continual pointing out your sins when everyone should be allowed to move on. The closest to you may love to rub in your sin and mistakes, exaggerate them and added to them things that do not exist (to surmise: suppose that something is true without having evidence to confirm it.) Such work kills out the precious fruits of love and defiles the soul. In this work we participate in the work of Satan whose name means the accuser of the brethren. Church members talk about but are careless to the brethren in wanting to know about but not care for their brethren and sisters. Yes there are consequences of sin. Being human but not experiencing that which another must endure let us treat others with that which we would be entreated. Blaming others such as parents or partners though the wrongs be a reality, is an immaturity that does not allow us to move forward. We need to mature as ones responsible for today and being human we too have]ing made many mistakes, let the mistakes be acknowledged to God or those we have wronged and repent of them, to make us better people today. Going past thought and feelings of perceived or wrongs, sins committed against us is a supernatural experience that is only found in the love of God.
Dealing with bad attitudes and devils in the home is confronting and hard to deal with. Evil surmising, and accusation have closed the hearts of many believers against the full working of the Holy Spirit. Many have illusions/a false reality because of their own wrongs and because they have not been able to forgive themselves.
Anger from false accusations is the trial of many others in which it is hard to apply the words of scripture to not retaliate but we must obey God.
1 Corinthians 4:12 Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: if that is in the work place or the home the test is hard pressed but must be learned.
There is no surer way of weakening spirituality than by cherishing envy, suspicion, faultfinding, and evil surmising. On the other hand, the strongest witness that God has sent His Son into the world is the existence of harmony and union among men of the church, and married couples, and families who form His church. The door of the mind should be closed against “They say” or “I have heard.”
Put away every evil surmising and be willing to see the value of the gifts God has bestowed on your brethren. –Letter 125, 1903. {Ev 102.4}
Strife in which we are participants will not be seen in heaven. There is an unlearning and a learning to be like Jesus because of the many broken homes. Believers must constantly receive and impart the love of God.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: He that feareth is not made perfect in love. There is a noble majesty in the silence of the one exposed to evil surmising or outrage.
“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” {PP 309.2}
All intentional overstatement, every hint or insinuation calculated to convey an erroneous or exaggerated impression, even the statement of facts in such a manner as to mislead, is falsehood. This precept forbids every effort to injure our neighbor’s reputation by misrepresentation or evil surmising, by slander or tale bearing. Even the intentional suppression of truth, by which injury may result to others, is a violation of the ninth commandment. {PP 309.3}
Let us learn how Jesus increased in favor with God and men- a love that thinketh no evil and is not easily provoked. Sin is an infectious disease and having found Christ let not one sin be traded for another in the root of bitterness. Though disappointments be all around us we are not to allow our perplexities and disappointments to eat into our souls and make us fretful .
The Lord desires His servants to show His forbearance in dealing with one another. Do not speak or write one word of censure or recrimination, even though it may seem to you as if the censure were deserved. Refuse to listen to complaints. In the suspicion by which we fear and wish to prevent we can create that very situation and cause our brother or sister to sin.
Be respectful to authority. 2 Peter 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous [are they], selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
2:11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
Bring not civil authority against brethren for we sin against ourselves 1 Corinthians 6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
Follow me said Jesus and I will show you the way to my Father’s house.
